In environments with only data groups, the Work with Data Groups (WRKDG) display is the primary location from which to start checking status of replication activity and processes.
What to Check |
Where to Check and Detailed Instructions |
---|---|
System-level processes |
Summary: Work with Data Groups display, Source Mgr and Target Mgr columns. Details: Work with Systems display. |
Node procedures |
Summary: Work with Systems display, option 21 (Proc Sts). Details: Work with Procedures Status display. |
Replication processes |
Summary: by system where processes run, Work with Data Groups display, Source DB, Source OBJ, Target DB, and Target OBJ columns. See: Identifying and resolving replication problems reflected in the Source and Target columns. |
Replication errors |
Summary: Work with Data Groups display, two locations:
|
Auditing errors |
Summary: installation count on Work with Data Groups display, Audits field. Details: Work with Audits display. |
Recoveries in progress |
Summary: installation count on Work with Data Groups display, Recov. field. Details: Work with Recoveries display, and the Object Correction Activity window in the Assure Unified Interface. Note: A recovery in progress indicates that
MIMIX detected a problem and is currently attempting to correct it.
It is important that no recoveries are in progress when certain
activity, such as ending MIMIX, is performed. The count on the Work
with Data Groups display includes recoveries from all possible
sources. However, the Work with Recoveries display only lists new or
in-progress recoveries from audits or that are the result of object
replication third delay retry processing. Recoveries that originated
from replication processes, target journal inspection, and virtual
switch procedures can only be viewed from the Assure Unified
Interface.
See: Displaying recoveries. |
Notifications - new errors or warnings |
Summary: installation count on Work with Data Groups display, Notif. field. Details: Work with Notifications display. See: Displaying notifications. |
Monitors (processes and errors) |
Details: Work with Monitors display on each system. |
Switching status |
Summary: Switch in progress indicated on Work with Data Groups display, Source DB, Source OBJ, Target DB, and Target OBJ columns. See: Identifying and resolving replication problems reflected in the Source and Target columns. |
