This procedure synchronizes data and starts replication from the backup system to the original production system. Synchronizing the data ensures that the data on both systems is equivalent before replication is started.
Before using this procedure, consult your runbook for any additional procedures that must be performed when synchronizing and starting replication from the backup system to the original production system
Do the following from the backup system:
Ensure the original production system is available again.
From the MIMIX Basic Main Menu, select option
5
(Start or complete switch using Switch Asst.).You will see the Confirm Synchronize and Start confirmation display. Press F16 to confirm your choice and specify switching options.
The Run Switch Framework (RUNSWTFWK) command appears. The default Switch framework and the value *SYNC for the Switch framework process are preselected and cannot be changed. Do the following:

Optionally, you can change the value of the Set object auditing level prompt.

To synchronize and start, press Enter.

Once replication has caught up, Precisely strongly recommends that you run a full set of audits with the most extensive checking available in auditing options. Use Performing audits before a planned switch.

Consult your runbook to determine if any additional steps are needed.
When you are ready to switch back to the original production system, use Switching to the production system.
