Journaled objects must use the journal defined in the data group definition in order for replication to occur. Objects that are journaled to a journal that is different than the journal defined in the data group definition can result in data integrity issues. MIMIX identifies these objects with a journaling status of *DIFFJRN. A journal status of *DIFFJRN should be investigated to determine the reason for using the different journal. See Resolving a problem for a journal status of *DIFFJRN.
The MIMIX commands STRJRNFE, STRJRNIFSE, and STRJRNOBJE provide the ability to specify the Force to configured journal (FORCE) prompt which determines whether to end journaling for the selected objects that are currently journaled to a different journal than the configured journal (*DIFFJRN), and then start journaling to the configured journal.
To force journaled objects to use the journal configured in the data group definition, specify *YES for the FORCE prompt in the MIMIX commands for starting journaling. FORCE(*NO) is the command default for the STRJRNFE, STRJRNIFSE and STRJRNOBJE commands when run from the native interface. See MIMIX commands for starting journaling.
