These instructions end all MIMIX processes for the specified systems and optionally end RJ links. In most cases RJ links can remain active. See When to end RJ links for situations when you should end RJ links.
Do the following:
From a command line, type
ENDMMX
and press F4 (Prompt). The End MIMIX display appears. At the End process prompt, specify *CNTRLD for a controlled end or *IMMED for an immediate end. This parameter applies to the application group and data group processes only.
Note: When ENDMMX ends data groups, it waits for each data group to end before attempting to end the next MIMIX function. If you need to end RJ links used by replication processes, specify
*YES
for the End remote journaling prompt.Note: If you specify *YES, all data groups using the remote journal link in the installation library will be affected. If data groups in other installations are using the same remote journal link, you should specify *NO.If you specified *CNTRLD for Step 2, ensure that the values for the Wait time (seconds) and Timeout option prompts are what you want for the controlled end.
At the System definition prompt, indicate the scope of the request by specifying either *ALL or *LOCAL. This determines the systems on which to end MIMIX processes.
If you need to end RJ links used by system manager processes, specify
*YES
for the End system manager RJ links prompt. To end MIMIX processes, press Enter.
