You can control whether each audit for a data group can be submitted automatically by priority or all-objects audits by schedule. You can have both, one, or neither type of automatically submitted auditing.

Use these instructions to disable or enable scheduling information for automatically submitted audits. Manually invoked audits can still be performed. If you need to temporarily disable both manual and automatic audit submissions for an installation during system or network maintenance, temporarily changing the Audit runs (AUDRUN) policy is a better choice.

The change is effective immediately. Any audit in progress at the time of the change is not affected.

Changing the values for the File Data (#FILDTA) audit affects whether the File Member Record Count (#MBRRCDCNT) audit can perform recovery actions. For more information, see #MBRRCDCNT audit information in Considerations for specific audits.

Do the following from the management system:

  1. From the MIMIX Intermediate Main Menu, select option 6 (Work with audits) and press Enter.

  2. The Work with Audits display appears. Type 37 (Change audit schedule) next to the audit you want to change and press Enter.

  3. The Set MIMIX Schedules (SETMMXSCD) command appears, showing the schedule type as *AUDIT and the selected audit rule and data group. Press Enter. Then complete Step 4 and Step 5 as needed.

  4. To disable or enable all-objects auditing, do the following:

    1. Press Page Down.

    2. The current values for the Schedule prompts are displayed. At the State prompt specify the appropriate value:

      • Specify *DISABLED to disable all-objects audit runs of the audit for the specified data group.

      • Specify *ENABLED to enable all-objects audit runs of the audit for the specified data group.

  5. To disable or enable prioritized objects audits, do the following:

    1. Press Page Down. If you skipped the previous step you may need to do this twice.

    2. The current values of Prioritized objects audit prompts are displayed. At the State prompt specify the appropriate value:

      • Specify *DISABLED to disable prioritized objects audit runs of the audit for the specified data group.

      • Specify *ENABLED to enable prioritized objects audit runs of the audit for the specified data group.

  6. To make the changes effective, press Enter.
