Note:

1-Default values for the installation level are assigned to polices at the time the installation is created. Default values for data group level are assigned when the data group is created.

2 -A value must be specified for the data group definition (DGDFN) parameter on the SETMMXPCY command in order to specify any policy value.

3 - A data group definition value of *INST indicates the policy is installation-wide. A name indicates the policies are in effect only for the specified data group.

4 - When this policy is enabled, the other policies in the same column are in effect unless otherwise noted.

For more information about the Automatic object recovery and Automatic database recovery polices, see Replication problems that MIMIX attempts to recover and When to disable automatic recovery for replication and auditing.

For information about how the Source capture delay policy is used by recoveries and considerations for changing the policy, see Changing the source capture delay for recoveries.

These topics in the Assure MIMIX Administrator Reference book provide information about the following policies:

  • For information about the DB apply cache policy, see topic “Configuring database apply caching”.

  • For information about the Access path maintenance policy, see topic “Optimizing access path maintenance”.

  • For information about delay retry processing in object replication and the Number of third delay retry attempts and Third delay retry interval policies, see Parameters for automatic retry processing in topic “Tips for data group parameters”.
