The Status for extraction policy controls whether MIMIX status is collected in an additional journal to allow it to be extracted for consolidation by other applications.

Do the following to enable extracting status:

  1. From the command line type SETMMXPCY and press F4 (Prompt).

  2. Verify that the value *INST is specified for the Data group definition prompt:

  3. Press Enter to see all the policies and their current values.

  4. Press Page Down multiple times to locate the Status for extraction prompts. The current values are displayed in the prompts.

    1. For the Collection prompt, specify *ENABLED.

    2. For the Frequency (minutes) prompt, specify a number of minutes. This is how often MIMIX will collect status in a format for extraction.

    3. For the System to collect status prompt, specify the systems on which to collect status.

      • If you specify *MGT, status collection is enabled on all management nodes within the instance. Each Management node has complete status all processes and jobs for all nodes within the instance.

      • If you select *NET, status collection is enabled on all network nodes within the instance. A network node has status for the processes and jobs that run on that node and status for all management nodes. A given network node does not have status for other network nodes.

Note: If your instance has multiple management or multiple network systems and you want to collect status on only one management or one network system, you must specify the system.
    4. Press Enter.

  5. To make the change effective, you must end and start the collector services job on the systems you specified. Use the command WRKSYS to access the Work with Systems display.

    1. Use option 10=End on the appropriate system. To end only the collector services job, specify the following values on the resulting End MIMIX Managers (ENDMMXMGR) display,

      • Manager: *NONE

      • Target journal inspection: *NO

      • Collector services: *YES

      • End system manager RJ links: *NO

When you press Enter, the collector services will be ended and the status on the Work with Systems display will refresh.

    2. Use option 9=Start on the appropriate system. The resulting Start MIMIX Managers display will have preselected all processes that need to be started. Confirm that *YES is specified for Collector services and press Enter.
