By default, data protection reports automatically run on all systems in an installation. The data protection report for directories uses the directory depth policy to determine how many levels of sub-directories to check on a system when it runs. The value of this policy may influence how often or when you want to run the directory report. Changing the directory depth policy to include more directories for a report may cause the report to run longer. Consider the needs of your environment and system resources available when the report runs. For more information, see Changing when automatic reports are allowed to run.
