The Audit runs (AUDRUN) policy controls whether any auditing is allowed. The shipped default for this policy is automatically set to enable auditing, which is best practice. When the Audit runs policy is enabled, MIMIX can automatically submit audits according to their schedules and users can manually run audits from either the Assure Unified Interface or the native user interface.

Use these instructions to enable auditing when the Audit runs policy has been disabled.

Note: This procedure changes a policy value at the installation level. The installation level value can be overridden by a data group level policy value. Therefore, if    a data group has a value other than *INST for this policy, that data group-level value remains in effect regardless of the instance-level value.

From the native user interface, do the following from the management system to enable all auditing for an instance:

  1. From the command line type SETMMXPCY and press F4 (Prompt).

  2. Verify that the value specified for Data group definition is *INST.

Note: If you need to enable the policy for a specific data group instead of the instance, specify the data group name.
  3. Press Enter to see all the policies and their current values.

  4. Specify *ENABLED for the Audit runs prompt and press Enter.
