When you start a planned switch from the production system to the backup system, MIMIX does the following:

  • Ends the user production and backup environments on the appropriate systems.

  • Switches the selected data groups.

  • Starts the user production environment on the local (backup) system.

  • Optionally, starts the backup environment on the remote system and starts the selected data groups.

The following table shows the process flow that occurs when the RUNSWTFWK PRC(*BCKUP) TYPE(*PLANNED) command is invoked:
