When configured for advanced journaling, large objects (LOBs) can be synchronized through the user (database) journal. You can synchronize a database file that contains LOB data using the Synchronize Data Group File Entry (SYNCDGFE) command.
If advanced journaling is not used in your environment, you may want to consider synchronizing large files or objects (over 1 GB) outside of MIMIX. During traditional synchronization, large files or objects can negatively impact performance by consuming too much bandwidth. Certain commands for synchronizing provide the ability to limit the size of files or objects transmitted during synchronization. See Limiting the maximum sending size for more information.
On certain commands, it is possible to control the size of files and objects sent to another system. The Threshold size (THLDSIZE) parameter on the transfer definition can be used to limit the size of objects transmitted with the Send Network Object commands.
