New data groups created with the shipped default configuration values are configured to support cooperative processing of logical files and physical (source and data) files primarily through the user (database) journal. This recommended configuration is sometimes called MIMIX Dynamic Apply and is the most efficient way to perform cooperative processing for logical and physical files. Cooperative processing requires the files to be properly identified by both data group object entries and data group file entries.
Unless a known restriction prevents it, most environments can take advantage of cooperatively processed operations for journaled *FILE objects.
Cooperative processing of files intelligently handles files with relationships by assigning them to the same or appropriate apply sessions.
For more information, see Identifying logical and physical files for replication and Requirements and limitations of default cooperative processing for files.
