The following briefly describes the events that occur in MIMIX when a database file that is defined for legacy cooperative processing is deleted:
-
System journal replication processes communicate with user journal replication processes that a file has been deleted on the source system and indicates that the file should be deleted from the target system.
-
A journal transaction which identifies the deleted file is created on the source system. The transaction is transferred dynamically.
-
If the data group file entry is set to use the option to dynamically update active replication processes, the file and associated file entry will be dynamically removed from the replication processes. If the dynamic update option is not used, the data group changes are not recognized until all data group processes are ended and restarted.
-
MIMIX system journal replication processes delete the file on the target system.
