In the following graphic, the shaded areas show file systems containing IFS objects. When selecting objects in file systems that contain IFS objects, only the objects in the file system specified will be included. The non-generic part of a path name indicates the file system to be searched. Object selection does not cross file system boundaries when processing subtrees with IFS objects.
Figure 27 illustrates a directory with a subtree that contains IFS objects. The shaded areas are the file systems. Table 67 contains examples showing what file systems would be selected with the path names specified and a subtree specification of *ALL.
