Notes:

  1. Replicating configuration objects to a previous version of IBM i may cause unpredictable results.

  2. Objects in QDLS, QSYS.LIB, QFileSvr.400, QLANSrv, QOPT, QNetWare, QNTC, QSR, and QFPNWSSTG file systems are not currently supported via Data Group IFS Entries. Objects in QSYS.LIB and QDLS are supported via Data Group Object Entries and Data Group DLO Entries. Excludes stream files associated with a server storage space.

  3. File attribute types include: DDMF, DSPF, DSPF36, DSPF38, ICFF, LF, LF38, MXDF38, PF-DTA, PF-SRC, PF38-DTA, PF38-SRC, PRTF, PRTF38, and SAVF.

  4. Content is not replicated.

  5. Spooled files are replicated separately from the output queue.

  6. These objects are system specific. Duplicating them could cause unpredictable results on the target system.

  7. Duplicating these objects can potentially cause problems on the target system.

  8. These objects are not duplicated due to size and IBM recommendation.

  9. These object types can be supported by MIMIX for replication through the system journal, but are not currently included. Contact Support if you need support for these object types.

  10. Changes made though external interfaces such as APIs and commands are replicated. Direct update of the content through a pointer is not supported.

  11. To replicate *PGM objects to an earlier release of IBM i you must be able to save them to that earlier release of IBM i.

  12. Device description attributes include: APPC, ASC, ASP, BSC, CRP, DKT, DSPLCL, DSPRMT, DSPVRT, FNC, HOST, INTR, MLB, NET, OPT, PRTLAN, PRTLCL, PRTRMT, PRTVRT, RTL, SNPTUP, SNPTDN, SNUF, and TAP. When device descriptions are replicated, the object apply process (OBJAPY) detects in-use conditions on the target node and will automatically vary off the device, retry the operation, and if the retry is successful, it will attempt to vary on the device in environments running MIMIX 9.0.24.00 and higher.

  13. The MIMIX-supplied user profiles MIMIXOWN and LAKEVIEW, as well as IBM supplied user profiles, should not be replicated.

  14. Files linked to a data dictionary, such as files starting with QIDCT, are not supported.

  15. Content is not replicated by default. You can optionally replicate the contents of a *JOBQ object.

  16. Device network server host adapters (*DEVNWSH) are replicated when they is identified by a data group object entry that specifies *ALL as the object type.

  17. Network attribute (*NETA), Network server configuration (*NWSCFG), Network server storage spaces (*NWSSTG), and TCP/IP attribute (*TCPA) objects can only be defined to data group object entries for a *PEER data group used in an IBM cluster resource services administrative domain environment.

  18. Configuration list (*CFGL) objects can only be replicated as part of support for replicating system settings. See Supported system settings and system values.

  19. Environment variable (*ENVVAR) and system value (*SYSVAL) objects can only be replicated as part of replication of system settings, or by data group object entries for a *PEER data group used in an IBM cluster resource services administrative domain environment.
