The Difference Indicator (DIFIND) field identifies the result of the comparison. Table 142 identifies values that can appear in this field. Not all values may be valid for every Compare command.
When the output file is viewed from the native user interface, the summary row is the first record for each compared object and is indicated by an asterisk (*) in the Compared Attribute (CMPATR) field. The summary row’s Difference Indicator value is the prioritized summary of the status of all attributes checked for the object. When included, detail rows appear below the summary row for the object compared and show the actual result for the attributes compared.
The Priority2 column in Table 142 indicates the order of precedence MIMIX uses when determining the prioritized summary value for the compared object.
Values1 |
Description |
Summary Record2 Priority |
---|---|---|
*EC |
The values are based on the MIMIX configuration settings. The actual values may or may not be equal. |
5 |
*EQ |
Record counts match. No differences were detected. Global difference indicator. |
5 |
*EM |
Established mapping for file identifier (FID). Attribute indicator only for CMPIFSA *FID attribute. |
6 |
*NA |
The values are not compared. The actual values may or may not be equal. |
5 |
*NC |
The values are not equal based on the MIMIX configuration settings. The actual values may or may not be equal. |
3 |
*NE |
Indicates differences were detected. |
2 |
*NS |
Indicates that the attribute is not supported on one of the systems. Will not cause a global not equal condition. |
5 |
*NM |
Not mapping consistently for file identifier (FID). Attribute indicator only for CMPIFSA *FID attribute. |
2 |
*RCYSBM |
Indicates that automatic audit recovery action was submitted to be processed by the replication manager. |
|
*RCYFAILED |
Used to indicate that automatic recovery attempts via automatically submitted audits failed to recover the detected difference. |
|
*RECOVERED |
Indicates that recovery for this object was successful. |
1 3 |
*IC |
Values are not equal based on the MIMIX configuration settings and the differences have been ignored because the object is identified by a selection rule configured so that attributes or data differences are ignored during auditing. The actual values may or may not be equal. |
|
*IN |
Differences were detected and ignored. The object is identified by a selection rule configured so that attributes or data differences are ignored during auditing. |
|
*UA |
Object status is unknown due to object activity. If an object difference is found and the comparison has a value specified on the Maximum replication lag prompt, the difference is seen as unknown due to object activity. This status is only displayed in the summary record. Note: The Maximum replication lag prompt is only valid when a data group is specified on the
command.
|
2 |
*UN |
Indicates that the object’s synchronization status is unknown. |
4 |
Not all values may be possible for every Compare command. 2Priorities are used to determine the value shown in output files for Compare Attribute commands. 3The value *RECOVERED can only appear in an output file modified by a recovery action. The object was initially found to be *NM, *NE or *NC but MIMIX automatic recovery actions recovered the object. |
For most attributes, when the outfile is viewed from the native user interface, when a detailed row contains blanks in either of the System 1 Indicator or System 2 Indicator fields, MIMIX determines the value of the Difference Indicator field according to Table 143. For example, if the System 1 Indicator is *NOTFOUND and the System 2 Indicator is blank (Object found), the resultant Difference Indicator is *NE.

>1The indicator value *NOTJRNCTR is returned when the object’s object type is identified in a journal-centric configuration and the object is either not found or not included because it is not journaled. |
When viewed through the Assure UI portal, data group directionality is automatically resolved so that differences are viewed as Source and Target instead of System1 and System2.
For a small number of specific attributes, the comparison is more complex. The results returned vary according to parameters specified on the compare request and MIMIX configuration values. For more information see the following topics:
