Creating a custom step program - assure_mimix - 10.0

This interface supports programs written in C, RPG and CL.

1. Create and compile the program that will be invoked by the step program when it is called by a procedure. Use Step program format STEP0100.

2. Copy the complied step program to all systems in the installation. Ensure that the name and location is the same on all systems.

3. Do the following from the management system to add a step program to the installation:

   1. Type ADDSTEPPGM and press F4 (Prompt).
   2. Specify a name for the step program.
   3. Specify the name of the program object and the library in which it is located.
   4. Specify the type of step program. This indicates the operational level at which the program will run.
   5. Specify the type of node on which the program will run.
   6. Specify a description of the step program. This will be displayed when you view details of a step which uses the step program.
   7. To add the step program, press Enter.
