Step messages can only be removed from the management system.
From the management system, do the following

Access the Work with Step Messages display.

Type
4(Remove) next to the message you want and press Enter. -
A confirmation display appears. Press Enter.
The change is effective immediately and can affect the behavior of procedures in the installation. After a step message is removed, any steps that could potentially use the step message error action will no longer have the error action available and processing of the procedure will quit if the error message identifier is encountered.
