These instructions identify how to create and compile a custom version of a step program identified in Table 81 so that all procedures which use the step program will use your customization.
These instructions must be performed from the native user interface. Do the following:
-
Copy the source code template for the step program from the location indicated in Table 81.
-
Create and compile a custom version of the program that will perform the necessary activity for your applications. See Step program format STEP0100 for details.
-
Copy the complied step program to all systems in the installation. Ensure that it has the same name and location on all systems.
Note: To prevent having your custom program replaced when a service pack is installed, either the name of the program object or the library where it is located must be different than the name and location specified in the shipped default step program. -
From the management system, enter the command:
installation_library/WRKSTEPPGM
-
Type
2
(Change) next to the step program you want and press Enter. -
The Change Step Program (CHGSTEPPGM) command appears. Specify the name and library of your custom program and press Enter.
