This option causes MIMIX to change the password for MIMIXOWN and update all necessary server authentication entries associated with RJ links on all systems in the MIMIX installation. You may need to use this option if you manually changed the password for the MIMIXOWN user profile and you have added an RJ link that uses either a new transfer definition or a transfer definition in which you changed the values specified for the RDB parameter.
By manually changing the password, you will be causing a password mismatch. When the system manager is started MIMIX will automatically resolve the mismatch by changing the password and updating the authentication entries.
Do the following from a management system:
-
To access all RJ links used by MIMIX system managers, enter the command:
WRKRJLNK PROCESS(*INTERNAL)
-
Use option
10
(End) to end all of the displayed RJ links. -
On the local system only, use the following command to change the MIMIXOWN user profile to have a password and to prevent signing on with the profile:
CHGUSRPRF USRPRF(MIMIXOWN) PASSWORD(user-defined-password) INLMNU(*SIGNOFF)
-
To start the system mangers and RJ links, enter the following command:
STRMMXMGR SYSDFN(*ALL)
