Use this procedure when you no longer want to use remote journaling for a data group and want to permanently change the data group to use MIMIX send processing.
Important! If the data group is configured for MIMIX Dynamic Apply, you must complete the procedure in Checklist: Converting to legacy cooperative processing before you remove remote journaling.
Perform these tasks from the MIMIX management system unless these instructions indicate otherwise.

Perform a controlled end for the data group that you want to change using topic “Ending a data group in a controlled manner” in the Assure MIMIX Operations book. On the ENDDG command, specify the following:

*ALL
for the Process prompt -
*CNTRLD
for the End process prompt
Note: Do not end the RJ link at this time. Step 2 verifies that the RJ link is not in use by any other processes or data groups before ending and removing the RJ environment. -

Perform the procedure in topic Removing a remote journaling environment.

Modify the data group definition as follows:

From the Work with DG Definitions display, type a

(Change) next to the data group you want and press Enter. -
The Change Data Group Definition (CHGDGDFN) display appears. Press Enter to see additional prompts.

Specify *NO for the Use remote journal link prompt.

To accept the change, press Enter.

Start data group replication using the procedure “Starting selected data group processes” in the Assure MIMIX Operations book and specify
*ALL
for the Start processes prompt (PRC parameter).
