Enabling the access path maintenance function - assure_mimix - 10.0

Do the following:

1. From the command line type SETMMXPCY and press F4 (Prompt).

2. For the Data group definition, do one of the following:

   • To set the default policy for the installation, verify that the value specified for Data group definition is *INST.

   • To set the policy for a specific data group, specify the full three-part name.

3. Press Enter.

4. You will see all the policies and their current values for the level you specified in Step 2. Use the Page Down key to locate the Access path maintenance policy.

5. Do the following:

   1. At the Optimize for DB apply prompt, specify *ENABLED.

   2. At the Maximum number of jobs prompt, specify the value you want.

6. To accept the changes, press Enter.

These changes are not in effect until the affected data groups are ended and restarted.
