To change how the database apply process handles transactions under commitment control, do the following from a management system:

Perform a controlled end of the data group that you want to change.

When the controlled end completes, verify that there are no open commit cycles using the command:
DSPDGSTS DGDFN(name system1 system2) VIEW(*DBVIEW1)
Note: Resolve any open commit cycles before continuing. If any open commit cycles exist, you will not be able to start the data group after changing the configuration. -
Do the following to change the data group:

Specify the name of the data group you want to change in the following command and press F4 (Prompt)
CHGDGDFN DGDFN(name system1 system2)

Page down to locate the Database apply processing (DBAPYPRC) parameter.

Specify either *DLY or *IMMED for the Commit mode element.

Press Enter.

Start the data group.
