Use this procedure to change an existing data group file entry.

From the management system, do the following:

  1. From the MIMIX Intermediate Main Menu, type a 1 (Work with data groups) and press Enter.

  2. From the Work with Data Groups display, type a 17 (File entries) next to the data group you want and press Enter.

  3. Locate the file entry you want on the Work with DG File Entries display. Type a 2 (Change) next to the entry you want and press Enter.

  4. The Change Data Group File Entry (CHGDGFE) display appears. Press F10 (Additional parameters) to see all available prompts. You can change any of the values shown on the display.

    Notes:

    • If the file is currently being journaled and transactions are being applied, do not change the values specified for To system 1 file (TOFILE1) and To member (TOMBR1).

    • All replicated members of a file must be in the same database apply session. For data groups configured for single-threaded database apply processing and have specified multiple apply sessions, specify the apply session for the entry on the File entry options prompt.

    • When the data group uses multithreaded database apply processing, values for the following file entry options cannot be changed: Replication type, Lock member during apply, Apply session, Disable triggers during apply, and Process trigger entries.

    • The Attributes to ignore (IGNATR) parameter allows auditing to ignore detected attribute differences to streamline environments that use non-switchable data groups and data groups whose target node is a replicate node of an application group. For other configurations, this parameter is ignored.

  5. To accept your changes, press Enter.

The replication processes do not recognize the change until the data group has been ended and restarted. The change is available to audits in the next audit run.
