Use this procedure from the management system to copy a data group entry from one data group definition to another data group definition. The data group definition to which you are copying must exist.
To copy a data group entry to another data group definition, do the following:

From the Work with DG Definitions display, type the option for the type of entry you want to copy next to the data group from which you are copying and press Enter. The options for entries are:
17 (File entries)
20 (Object entries)
21 (DLO entries)
22 (IFS entries)

The "Work with" display for the entry you selected appears. Type a

(Copy) next to the entry you want and press Enter. -
The Copy display for the entry appears. At the To data group definition prompt, do one of the following:

To create the copy within the same data group, leave the value *FROMDGDFN.

To create the copy in a different data group, specify a name

Additional prompts on display are specific for the type of entry. The values of these prompts define the data to be replicated by the definition to which you are copying. Ensure that the prompts identify the necessary information.
Values to specify for each type of data group entry.For file entries, provide:
To File 1
To Member
To File 2
Note: If the From data group uses single-threaded database apply processing and the To data group uses multithreaded, database apply processing, MIMIX will automatically change values for the file entry options (FEOPT) to be compatible with multithreading requirements.For object entries, provide:
To system 1 library
To system 1 object
To object type
To object attribute
To spooled file criteria

To system 1 document
To owner
For IFS entries, provide:
To system 1 object
Note: IFS entries with a process type of *INCLD (A) cannot be copied. -
The value *NO for the Replace definition prompt prevents you from replacing an existing entry in the definition to which you are copying. If you want to replace an existing entry, specify *YES.

To copy the entry, press Enter.

To make the entry available to replication processes, end and restart the data group to which the entries were copied.
