Before you begin, all data groups associated with the resource group must be ended.

When removing a resource group whose data groups are configured for multithreaded database apply processing, you do not have the option of deleting only the resource group while keeping its related configuration in the instance.

Note: Data groups that are configured for multithreading must be part of a resource group and application group. If you want to keep the related data groups, you must first convert the resource group to single-threaded database apply processing using Checklist: Converting to single-threading, After the conversion is complete, then you can remove the resource group using Removing a resource group that uses single-threading.

Do the following to remove a multithreaded resource group and its related configuration:

  1. From the MIMIX Basic Main Menu, type 1 (Work with application groups) and press Enter.

  2. The Work with Application Groups display appears. Type 13 (Data resource groups) next to the application group you want and press Enter.

  3. The Work with Data Rsc. Grp. Ent. display appears. Type 4 (Remove) next to resource group you want, then press F4 (Prompt):

  4. On the Remove Data Resource Group Entry (RMVDTARGE) display, specify *YES for the Include related prompt.

Note: The value *NO will result in error message LVE3D99 for a resource group that uses multithreading.
  5. Press Enter.
