Before you begin, replication processes must be ended for all data groups associated with the application group and all procedures associated with the application group must have a status indicating completed, completed with errors, or acknowledged.

Deleting an application group that has one or more resource groups configured for multithreading will also delete all of its resource groups regardless of their database apply processing configuration as well as all of their associated data groups, selection rules, data group policies, and audit results.

Important! When deleting an application group that has one or more resource groups that are configured for multithreaded database apply processing, you do not have the option of keeping any related configuration. If you want to keep related configuration, you must choose what to do with the multithreaded resource groups before deleting the application group. You can either delete the multithreaded resource groups separately (along with their related configuration) or convert them to single-threading.

To delete an application group which has one or more resource groups that use multithreading, do the following:

  1. From the MIMIX Basic Main Menu, type 1 (Work with application groups) and press Enter.

  2. The Work with Application Groups display appears. Type 4 (Delete) next to the application group you want and press F4 (Prompt)

  3. On the Delete Application Group Def. (DLTAGDFN) display, specify *YES for the Include related prompt.

Note: The value *NO will result in error message LVE3D99 for resource groups that use multithreading.
  4. Press Enter.
