Omitting content from system journal replication and cooperative processing are mutually exclusive techniques. A selection rule (data group object entry) cannot specify both techniques for the same object type. Default values automatically configure for cooperative processing of *FILE, *DTAARA, and *DTAQ objects.
To use this capability to omit content, it is better to configure it in a selection rule (data group object entry) that specifies either the specific object type or a specific or generic object name instead of in a rule that selects all object types and names. This will allow you to use cooperative processing for other objects of these types within the data group and omit content of only the objects that require it.
The following configuration is required to omit content:
-
The data group definition must specify *ALL or *OBJ for the Data group type (TYPE).
-
One or more data group object entries that can select the objects for which to omit content must be configured with the following values:
-
Object auditing value (OBJAUD) must specify a value other than *NONE.
-
Either Cooperate with database (COOPDB) must specify *NO, or if *YES is specified, then Cooperating object types (COOPTYPE) cannot specify the same object type that you want to omit.
-
Omit content (OMTDTA) must specify the type of object for which to omit content. You can specify one or more values, but cannot specify both *FILE and *MBR.
