You can check whether one or more resources groups in an application group are eligible for conversion to multithreaded database apply processing. These instructions use menu options to invoke the Convert RG for Multithreading (CVTRG) command with values that check requirements without performing the conversion. Messages in the command’s job log report any problems that would prevent conversion.
The requirements that are checked are identified in Multithreading requirements checked by the conversion process.
Replication processes can be active when you perform this operation. However, the checks for open commit cycles and whether a controlled end was performed only occur when replication processes are ended.
Do the following from a management system:

From a command line, enter:

From the Work with Application Groups display: type

(Check for conversion) next to the application group and press Enter.The Convert RG for Multithreading (CVTRG) command opens with the preselected Option of *CHECK.

The value *ALL shown for the Resource group prompt will check all resource groups in the application group for conversion eligibility. If needed, you can change the value to specify one or more specific resource groups.

Press Enter.

When the command completes, the message “See the following messages for CVTRG results” appears at the bottom of the display.

Click on the message and press F1 (Help). Then press F10 (Display messages in job log).

You should see one of the following completion messages. To display all information for a message, click the message and press F1.
LVI3926. No resource groups in application group name.LVI3928. No resource groups to convert to multithreading in application-group- name.
LVI392A. All resource groups can be converted to multithreading.
LVI3924. Eligible-number of total-number resource groups can be converted to multithreading.
LVE3513. Eligible-number of total-number resource groups not eligible for conversion.
