When the CMPFILDTA command processes large object selection lists, there may be an extended period of communications inactivity. If the period of inactivity exceeds the timeout value of any network inactivity timer in effect, the network timeout will terminate the communications session, causing the CMPFILDTA job to end. To prevent this from occurring, you can use the Change TCP/IP Attributes (CHGTCPA) command to change the TCP Keep Alive (TCPKEEPALV) value so that it is lower than the network inactivity timeout value.
