Target journal inspection consists of a set of jobs that inspect a journal on a system when that system is the target system for replication. When configured and active, each job checks a specific journal for activity indicating that users or programs other than MIMIX have modified replicated objects on the target system. When a change to a target system object is detected and automatic recovery policies are enabled, MIMIX automatically submits a recovery action that will attempt to correct the target system object. Target journal inspection also sends a notification identifying the first object changed by a specific user since the inspection job started.
Target journal inspection jobs are started on the target system when MIMIX is started, or as necessary when MIMIX managers or data groups are started.
Target journal inspection tracks detected changes per user, per day, and sends one notification per day, per detected user.
Target journal inspection periodically removes unnecessary messages from its job log on a daily basis.
