During the installation of the metabase, Connect CDC Director created the database and granted privileges to its owner rpuser (replication user). After the metabase install, you must prepare the database and add rpuser to the databases that will be replicated from/to the SQL server. This rpuser must have minimum privileges of db_owner.

  1. Right-click the server, then select Prepare User Database.

  2. Enter the individual database name in the Database/Schema Name dialog.

  3. Click OK.

  4. Enter the DBMS Administrator userid and password on the User ID and Password dialog.

  5. Click OK.

A summary of the steps that Connect CDC Director takes to prepare the database displays.

  6. Click OK.

You see a screen with the commands executing and then a message that the process is complete.

  7. Click OK.
