An EDMM is displayed in a tree structure. The highest level of the tree is the EDMM itself.

As you add information, additional branches are added to the tree: hosts are added to the model, and servers are added to the hosts.

You can expand the EDMM tree to show all the created branches, or you can hide lower level branches under higher-level branches.

For example, when a server branch is not expanded, there is a plus sign next to it. To expand the tree, you click once on the plus sign or twice on the branch icon or label. When the branch is expanded, there is a minus sign next to it.

To hide the lower level branches, you can click once on the minus sign or twice on the branch icon or label.
