Sign in to the AWS Management Console and open the IAM console at https://console.aws.amazon.com/iam/.

In the navigation pane of the IAM console, choose Roles, and then choose Create role.

Choose the AWS service role type.
- Choose the EC2 service from the drop down. Use cases are defined by the service to include the trust policy that the service requires.

Click Next.

In the list of policies, select Customer Managed from the Filter by Type drop-down and type the Policy Name that was created in the above section. Select the checkbox next to the name of the policy to attach.

Click Next.

Select Customer Managed from the Filter by Type drop-down and type the Policy Name that was created in the above section.

On the Name, review, and create page, enter a Role name and a Description (optional) for the IAM Role that you are creating. Review the Trust Policy and Permissions Policy attached to this Role.

Review the role, and then choose Create role.
