Db2 for IBM i/400 databases allow multiple alternative formats in addition to the ISO standard format (YYYY-MM-DD) for columns defined with the DATE datatype. Database users can modify a formatting option for the column to change this default format to one of multiple others (for example to MM/DD/YYYY). Connect CDC, however, can capture only the following DATE column formats:

YYYY-MM-DDMM/DD/YYYY

Db2 for IBM i/400 DATE data represented in a format other than these is likely to cause the Connect CDC Change Selector to shut down.

Note: Connect CDC uses the YYYY-MM-DD format (only) when shipping data to a DB2/400 DATE column.
